# Cinnamon Gum

Is there a problem with the supply of sugar-free cinnamon gum? For the last month, I have been unable to find cinnamon Trident, cinnamon Stride, cinnamon Orbit, etc. There is Big Red. So I was wondering if something is going on or if this is just a fluke.

They definitely stopped making the multipaks of cinammon Trident a couple of years ago. (I heard it was happening and bought my local supermarket’s entire stock…I still have some!) They are making it again now, so ask at your favorite retailers and you should be able to get it.
Cinnamon is my favorite gum flavor so I too have been dismayed to see fewer and fewer options out there. I guess they just need the space for yet another Xtreme Cold Blue Arctic Chill Icy Mint.

I hate to be a killjoy, but I recall reading somewhere that cinnamon is bad for your teeth. I don’t have a cite or a site but I do recall reading that cinnamon creates microscopic holes in tooth enamel. That’s all I have and I hope it’s wrong because I happen to love the smell and taste of cinnamon.

Thanks–I’m going to the dentist soon and will ask. It just seemed peculiar that all the brands were missing the same flavor.

I read somewhere\* that the price of cinnamon oil had gone way up and that was why Trident stopped making the cinnamon…don’t know if that’s true, but it is possible.

I noticed convenience stores haven’t had cinnamon Orbit on the shelves but have been able to get it in 3-packs at Wal-Mart and Target.

I’ve noticed it up here in Canada - cinnamon gum is my favorite & I’ve been planning on quitting smoking and wanted to get some!

It’s rather scarce. 5’s cinnamon flavor is the easiest for me to find, but it’s the one I like least. Target had three packs of cinnamon Trident a couple of weeks ago, though. Target at least stocks cinnamon gum when they can get it, whereas the local supermarket doesn’t carry any sugarless cinnamon gum except for 5 (which is, for whatever reason, the most expensive brand of gum.)

Ugh, that 5 stuff is nasty. I am a big fan of cinnamon gum and have tried them all. 5 cinnamon gum tastes like dirt.

Dentyne’s Cinnamon gum tastes really good - I buy it in the 3-pack at Walmart! The very best part about it - no aspartame! Most gum now has aspartame in it - whether it’s sugar free or not. In fact Dentyne Cinnamon and Chiclets Peppermint are the only two I’ve found that don’t! Weird!

It seems to have disappeared from the UK several months ago, I like it but I’ve not seen any on sale in ages.
