Is your husband free to do whatever he likes to you? :dubious: I’m sure that’s what she meant because parental control over the body of their children versus a husband’s control over his wife’s are exactly synonymous. “Wife, you’re grounded; go to your room after writing me an essay on why you shouldn’t sass your parents.” “Son/daughter, you’re grounded; go to you room after writing me an essay on why you shouldn’t sass your parents.” One of those is a joke and the other is an actual disciplinary technique; I’ll leave to the reader to decide which is which. ---

Since **Dseid** , **Malthus** and others here have stated rationally and convincingly that overall it doesn’t really make a damn bit of difference one way or the other vs. the adamantly opposed who come across as just a wee bit on the wrong side of nutjob, the right answer is do what you think is best for your child. I just asked the little guy while I was taking a leak if he missed his foreskin. He said no. ---
