Human suffering albinism generally have light blue eyes, although sometimes under certain lighting they can appear pink and/or violet. Damn I had to go and read all that bullshit in the other thread. Now I want to poke out my pink eyes. Is it just me? Everytime someone says “This is a board dedicated to fighting ignorance” or some such the rest of their post automatically get translated to “blah blah blah” in my head. ---

You didn’t say “_Most_ albinos have blue eyes” you said “Albinos have blue eyes”. **Cisco** corrected you. All you had to do was admit to your mistake and then move on. The first can, in some contexts, be interpreted as “Some very few albinos have blue eyes.” In other contexts it can be interpreted as “Some very many albinos have blue eyes.” In other contexts it can be interpreted as “Most albinos have blue eyes.” In some contexts, “Typically, albinos have blue eyes.” And in some contexts, “All albinos have blue eyes.” It has seemed completely obvious to me, from the beginning of that conversation in the other thread, that **PerditaX** ’s utterance (so to speak) of the sentence in question was intended to be interpreted in th second to last sense listed above. “Albinos typically have blue eyes.” I am prepared, if necessary, to explain why it has not only seemed obvious _to me_ that this is what her utterance meant, but also why it should seem obvious _to anyone_ that this is what her utterance meant. But I don’t think anyone probably wants to go into that. Nor do I. Look, I just thought it was funny when Cisco asked me to start a thread so he could pit me.
