That reminds me, lately I’ve been thinking about my dream home and it would definitely have some Brutalist elements to it, so if I were rich enough I wouldn’t mind buying it and putting a Brutalist home there to spite his oddly-specific order that new government buildings needed to be classical, calling out Brutalism by name as something to avoid. The neighbors, though, would probably not be happier with it than with a swamp, as I would refuse to make concessions to miami-style architecture other than to surround it with palm trees instead of rectangular greenery like I am dreaming about. ---

I had a sudden thought this morning: Where was the nuclear football when soon-to-be citizen Trump was taking his flight to Florida? If it went with him there would be a time when it had to be flown back up to Washington. If it was left in Washington there would be a time when the (still) President wouldn’t have access to it. I somehow can’t see him handing it to Pence, saying, “Here. Take case of this until the President I will not name takes over.” Are there two footballs, one going south with Major Florida and the other staying in Washington that gets activated at the appropriate moment while the major wends his way north again? ---
