FWIW, I’m following the trial as reported on MSNBC most of the day. Judge Kaplan is apparently smacking down Trump and his attorneys regularly. I had heard he’s a real hardass and puts up with zero nonsense. “I make the rulings in this court, not the attorneys. Sit down.” That kind of stuff. They’re reporting now that he’s now telling Trump if he can’t control himself (making loud comments, slapping the table), he’ll be removed. Anyway, I for one am getting vicarious pleasure in hearing it. ---

trump has habba arguing this case. from the reporting ms habba is channeling her inner trump. first she stated: Attorney Alina Habba said, “I don’t know how to try this case, Your Honor.”. To which the judge said, “I have heard you. I have considered what you have to say, and I have ruled. That’s it in my courtroom. When the ruling is made, that is the end, not the beginning of argument.” she keeps trying to delay the trial for mother in law’s funeral. judge reprimands her: “I will hear no more argument on it,” Kaplan said. “None. Do you understand that word? Sit down.” Habba fired back. “I don’t like being spoken to that way,” she said. “I’m not going to speak to you that way. I am asking for an adjournment for a funeral.” “All right. It’s denied,” the judge responded. “Sit down.” at the lunch break trump was reprimanded for commenting: Throughout Carroll’s testimony, Trump maintained a [stream of commentary](https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/trump-defamation-trial-e-jean-carroll-01-17-24/h_39adbb30ddc3289b2cb8b580754166e0) and reactions from his place at the defense table.
