I thought the Big Day was tomorrow, but maybe itā€™s Monday. Iā€™m under the impression her lawyers will be ready to attach liens or whatever it is they need to do to collect on that day, but expect considerable resistance and delay from Trumpā€™s legal team. Itā€™s a different matter with the NY civil fraud case. There they have a court appointed monitor and can just call up Barbara Jones and ask for a list of assets and check off the ones they want to take. ---

Legal deadlines usually expire at the end of business on the day in question, so he has up until the end of tomorrow to pony up the cash. If he fails to do that, itā€™s open season on him the next working day, which would be Monday. Expect a pile of filings to be dropped off early Monday, is what Iā€™m thinking. Carrollā€™s lawyers have had a month to prepare, and should have at least a few good liens already written out. ---

Probably depends on the probate laws of the state where the marriage took place and/or of the marital domicile, the terms of the prenup, and how skillful Melaniaā€™s lawyers and financial planners have been at putting her money where he canā€™t get at it. ---

She has reportedly renegotiated her prenup a couple of times in the last several years. There is no doubt that she has enough of her own separate assets to live quite comfortably on her own if need be. I would think that transferring a bunch of stuff to her in the midst of these judgments would be illegal but sheā€™ll be just find with nothing more sent to her. ---

ISTM, him going bankrupt, without being able to discharge the legal debts would be a good thing for his victims as it would free him of other obligations so he could direct more money to them. IOW, if the courts say ā€˜you donā€™t have to pay the million dollars you owe those contractorsā€™, thatā€™s another million dollars Carroll will have an easier time getting her hands on.
