With the twists of my mind, a friend online waving to the folkses, made me start thinking about LotR, and in particular gollum, which then shifted to Elmer Fudd speaking gollums lines, ‘It’s my pwescious’…so, in the fashion of Chuck Jones does Wagner’s ring cycle…we have the: **Loony Toons casting call for LotR**!!! Gandalf - Foghorn Leghorn “I say, we go into the mines of Moria, I say” Daffy Duck - Boromir “Its mine! Mine I say!!! I saw it first!!” Bugs - Aragorn or Frodo (Being the hero is in his contract) Henry ChickenHawk - Pippen Taz - Gimli “We go into Kasphtapthack!” Any more? ---

I would put Yosemite Sam in the role of Gimli instead. He just has the right look, and I can imagine him shouting “Never trust an elf carnsarnit!” then firing off some rounds. Taz would get a lesser role, namely that of the Balrog. Arwen would be played by Bugs Bunny in drag. Bugs in the Peter Sellers of animation. ---

Actually, we came up with Yosemite as Saruman. “I don’t whar white!” But Sam as Gimli does work…question is, who is Legolas? ---

Legolas is a tough one. Speedy Gonzalez could fire the arrows quickly (sorry Road Runner, but you don’t have hands), although Pepe Le Pew would be good too, considering how all the chicks seem to dig Orlando Bloom’s version. Porky Pig would be Bilbo, of course. I think Marvin the Martian would make a great Sauron. ---

Lord of the Rings will never work with the Looney Toons gang. You simply give the Ring to Speedy Gonzalez and he races to Mordor in a couple of days and throws the Ring in the fires at Mt. Doom before he becomes corrupted, yelling “Areba, areba, andale, andale” all the way. ---
