# clapping after a movie

Clapping after is one thing.  
But why do they clap in the middle?  
It drownds out the best lines.  
It’s usually just when the villian is about to get blown up and some jerk spoils the signature line for the movie.  
What would Clint say if he knew you were upstaging his “Make my day!” line?

Perhaps because weddings are all pomp and pageantry and no substance.
