Not to mention Max Weinberg’s open-heart surgery last year. However, he had known about his heart condition and been monitoring it since the 80s. Weinberg has recovered nicely and put together the Max Weinberg Big Band. Still, it’s hard to see illness and death chipping away at the E Street Band lately. I actually wept a little when I heard about Clarence. Hang in there, Big Man! ---

Best of vibes for Clarence. I love his chemistry with Springsteen on stage. Man, how can we be getting to that/this age? Crikey. I was watching ‘London Calling: Live In Hyde Park’ yesterday, and The Big Man didn’t look very well then, two years ago. I was worried that something like this might happen. All best wishes winging their way to him. ---
