So in an America where 40% of its people aren’t white, you are afraid that white identity will lose its place of supremacy?

I’m specifically talking about people looking at the history of the U.S. and saying, “we aren’t those colonists that did horrible things to the Native Americans, that wasn’t us ”. I wouldn’t describe that as white identity holding a place of supremacy , but if that is what you would call it, then yes, I’ll own it.

I didn’t twist those words out of you. Those are your words. I asked questions that might encourage you to connect the dots of what you’re saying, but you kept doubling down. I’ll be perfectly clear, in what you wrote above, you made the white supremacist case for keeping Columbus day.

My conception of nationalism is, in fact, monocultural… and my concept of national history is predominantly “white” on account of the fact that most Americans were (and are) “white”, and that the origin of this country comes from the English tradition. I do not yet see these as problems to be fixed ; they seem appropriate to me.

I fear no amount of mere introspection will change my mind on the subject, (at least not without first seeing a different perspective), given that I spent a week doing so for this topic already. I don’t believe in any theory of inherent racial superiority, nor do I support personal or cultural genocide, nor am I somehow concerned about a future where America is predominantly non-white; these are in my opinion the detestable elements of white supremacism.

I was Pitted and am relatively confident the consensus of the board is that my posts in that topic are racist, although I would strenuously disagree.
