Well, here are some I thought of off the
top of my head. Some of them seem too new to
be classic rock, but the local station seems
to play them, so I must just be getting old!
Stones - Paint it Black
Doors - Five in One
Springsteen - Born to Run
Kiss - Rock and Roll All Night
Van Halen - You Really Got Me
Rush - Tom Sawyer
Guns N Roses - Paradise City

In my first response I stuck to WB’s list. Everybody’s been adding to it and now I feel left out.
Here are my additions:

**Allman Brothers** - _Whipping Post_\* (live)
**Jethro Tull** - _Skating Away_
**Jimi Hendrix** - _Cross Town Traffic_
**Pink Floyd** - _Wish You Were Here_ or _Comfortably Numb_ (can’t decide)
**Chicago** - _Saturday In the Park_
**Grateful Dead** - _Friend of the Devil_
**Joe Walsh** - _Life’s Been Good_ or _Funk 48_
**Aerosmith** - _Seasons of Wither_
**Doors** - _The End_
**Springsteen** - _Tenth Avenue Freeze Out_
**Kiss** - _Shock Me_ (I’m a big Ace fan)
**Doobie Brothers** - _Black Water_
**Steely Dan** - _Balck Friday_
**April Wine** - _Roller_

I’m pretty sure there was a Funk 48, but Funk 49 is probably the one I’m thinking of - “Work all night/Sleep all day/ I know what you’re doing …”)
IIRC, Funk 48 may have been instrumental.

Just listening to Supertramp’s “Fool’s Overture” from the CD Paris. It is a hard double CD to get but worth the search as Supertramp live is the only way to go.

I find it difficult to pick just one song from the aforementioned groups especially when some have an immense body of work that in some cases stretches over decades.

Now I am listening to “Rudy”… see what I mean?

No-one mentioned the Guess Who and “American Woman”. Must be a Canadian thing.

I like everyone’s choices.

Originally released in 1969, **The James Gang’s** _Yer’ Album_ does in fact contain the track entitled _Funk #48_.
But _Funk #49_ is the tune that I dig the mostest.

Nah, classic rock radio plays them into the ground here in the states, too. I’d have to go with _Share the Land_ or _No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature_ over _American Woman_, though.
