!!! Geez, ASSHATS to beat up **clayton\_e** for sitting on a park bench!!! What do these folks do, go around looking for someone to beat up on?? Thank you all for your support. I’m ok, just sore, mildly pissed off right now… But I havn’t let this ruin the last few days for me. I’ve been reading books for relaxation (but the doctors dialated my eyes so yesterday wasn’t exactly a reading day) and just generally I havn’t been doing too much. And although this did happen, although a few people decided to mess everything up, It wasn’t all bad. Only about 2 minutes out of the 20 hours were really bad, everything else was good. I met some of the greatest people, some people I would have never met had I not decided to do something like this. A guy brought me coffee every two hours, a guy drove 20 some miles to bring me something to read and to talk to me for a few, someone gave me a hat, gloves and another coat, someone gave me a sleeping bag, a pen, food… People were so nice. I talked to so many great people. And I’m not letting this get in the way of similar things I will do in the future (although I will take precautions). This particular project I won’t attempt again anytime in the near future, at least not until next summer. But there is no way I’m letting this stop me. There will be more strange weird things I’ll be doing (and posting to give you guys a laugh) for quite some time. Thank you all for the support. Embarrassed?! What’s there to be embarrassed about - you didn’t do anything wrong at all, from what I can see. And look what you learned about some people - some damn nice people helped you out. Hell, we’re with you all the way, and if you decide to do it again, bring a baseball bat with ya. 🙂 ---

clayton, I’m facinated by the first photograph on your site. I’ve been sitting here trying to figure out why when it hit me like a ton of bricks! It’s very Hopper-esque…the desolation and isolation along with the shadows from the awnings. If you don’t mind, I’m going to make it my wallpaper for the next few hours. 🙂 I glad to hear you’re getting better, by the way. ---

I’m so sorry, **clayton**. I hope you feel better soon. Some people just have to prove their “manhood” and never realize that all they prove is their immature cowardice. I’m glad that the majority of people you encountered were nice, though. And that people cared enough about a stranger to help you out. “Only 2 minutes out of the 20 hours were bad” is a good way to look at it – though that’s a hell of a 2 minutes. Feel better soon … ---
