It sounds like the word was taken out of context by a non-medico, so it’s hard to tell what was in the record. ---

This is a little off track perhaps… I and my brother believe he was profiled for driving a vehicle with Colorado license plates (legal marijuana laws just passed here) while driving in Indiana. Now, I know my bro, and he is perhaps the best driver I have ever known. But he got pulled over. “Improper turn signal use” Not that he did not use it, he used it improperly. Anyway, the first thing the cop said when he reached the car was “I smell marijuana”. My brother drives big rigs for a living and get’s tested a lot. He does not smoke, or have anything to do with MJ. My brother ended up waiting on the side of the road for one and a half hours for the drug dog to show up. The dog turned up nothing of course. Anyway, I relate this to other Colorado drivers. Be careful when driving out of state. ---

Be careful when driving out of state. Oh, this happened to me a few years back while driving in Kansas w/ CA plates. I was followed by a police officer for 30 minutes, then he pulled the old “pretend to be existing the freeway, but get back on” trick. Followed me again for awhile, then sped away. About an hour later, I get pulled over (using the left lane while not passing). I wouldn’t consent to a search, so they called in the dog (which took over an hour to arrive). Meanwhile the cop kept trying to get me to admit I had some “personal use marijuana” in the car. It was a rental, and I had never opened the trunk. The dog “supposedly” smelled something in the trunk, so they opened it. Clean as a whistle. The cop them offered to take me somewhere to get some breakfast, if I wanted. I wasn’t sure if he was hitting on me or fucking with me, but I declined. You just held me up on my trip for about an hour and a half, and now you want me to go have breakfast with you? I’ll never drive in Kansas again. ---
