# Click through agreements and minors

Suppose I am want to install software on my computer but don’t want to be bound by the license agreement. So I have my 16 year old brother install the software and go through the click through agreement. Since he is a minor he cannot be bound to a contract.
Of course I never even saw the agreement or clicked on it. Would this be a valid defense?

No, it wouldn’t. Use of the software license will still require consent to the license agreement, and a similar situation would be in a company where a network technician installs the programs on all employee computers. It doesn’t allow anyone to ignore the license agreement(s), so it follows that having someone else install it on your home computer won’t give you a free pass either.

but as your agent, you \*ARE \*bound by his agreements on your behalf!! :smack:
