# Clicking a link to download (probably basic)

So, I’ve been downloading some videos online. Normally, a window pops up, asking if I want to save it or open it from the source. I accidentally de-checked the “always ask me for this file type” box on one download, so now the default is to just open the file in a temp folder - generally, not what I want to do. I know I can always rightclick and do the “Save target as” method, but how do I make it ask me again?

This is in IE 6.0, on Windows XP.

My Computer \> Tools \> Folder Options \> File Types \> (select appropriate file extension) \> Advanced \> check or uncheck “Confirm open after download”.

I forget which option is the one you want; it should just be the opposite of what it is now.
