And to circle back to an earlier point in this thread, I’m slightly impressed, if I say so myself, at how accurate that accompanying [prediction from sixteen-plus years ago](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/im-sorry-but-this-is-unspeakably-dumb/390993/23) turned out to be:
