The science of climate and climate change is very important, and education about it is probably the best weapon in the war on ignorance and greed. A warmist would be the person who was in denial about the extreme winters, handwaving them aside and ignoring the data, telling everyone that a cold winter doesn’t mean anything, which is exactly what they said in 06, or the winter of 2009/10, the warmist was sure winters were still warming, some still are. They actually still claim winters are warming more than any other season,and it’s sure evidence of global warming. A warmer will also switch with no hesitation and then claim colder winters are BECAUSE of global warming, it doesn’t matter what happens, it’s all warming. It’s what defines a warmer. The alarmist simply cherry picks any and all things to paint a scary picture of the future, everything about climate change is dangerous, negative, it’s always bad news. Both can chow down on food, that absolutely depends on fossil fuels, in comfort, again from fossil fuels, and judge “those other people” who use fossil fuels as “the problem”. Or, while filling up their gas tank, blame “the evil oil companies” for causing global warming. A warmist will fly around the world, drive to an air conditioned resort, while telling people how they are killing the planet, with out seeing the irony. An alarmist will predict disaster from warming winters, bemoan the fate of our children who won’t know what snow is, who predict winter wheat disasters, low water supplies and billions at risk from starvation, then turn around and do the same thing over record snow fall, killing cold and the disaster that is a long and extreme winter, all blamed on global warming. All of it is your fault. Or the evil fossil fuel companies. It’s all doom and gloom, blame and shame, all of it. ---

How did they reliable measure the global temperature or CO2 in 1850 (or 1750)? ---

Among other flaws, OP’s source ignores that 20th-century temperature rise was _less_ than what CO2 alone would have caused: Mankind was also injecting _coolants_ into the atmosphere. (Indeed, _reduction_ of pollutants like sulfur dioxide and soot can be viewed as one of the causes of AGW! :smack: ) ---
