While there are lots of people here who hold opinions directly contrary to my own, they generally don’t piss me off, because they bring something to the table, and contribute to the debate, even if I may disagree. **Clint** , on the other hand… I keep waiting for him to add something of substance, instead of just posting short and deliberately inflammatory drive-by comments. But no, every post of his is short, acerbic, and pointless. He increases the board’s unpleasant tone, and adds nothing of value. His net effect is negative, and I have wished many times he’d just evaporate. I’m still wishing…

Boy, talk about thin-skinned. Who cares what he says? By making a post about how much his statements upset you, you are practically begging to have him do something like that again.

Funny sentiment, coming from somebody who’s currently whining in [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=179084) about how the nasty Big Brotherish mods won’t let him just spout off with any old bullshit he feels like. **Clint** is a moron. He should probably have been banned December, 2002, over the `nits make lice’ debacle, but he was allowed extra time here to fester like a pustule. He’s festered quietly, thus far, but his latest spewage shows how far his mentality has slipped from the norm. He’s back on the radar, in short, and not in a good way.
Well, **Clint** , shit breeds maggots. Don’t expect to be creating flies here much longer.

Believe it or not, I do enjoy reading the SDMB, even this thread, whether I’m liked or not.
I am certainly an asshole, but at least I’m honest about it. It has nothing to do with intelligence, or where I live. My opinions may go against you like rat poison, but what kind of BB would this be if everyone shared the same opinion?

Or, you can post your opinion in an assholish way.
That is also called trolling. It’s annoying. It’s childish. It’s against the rules.

I can be booted for posting my opinion in an “assholish” way, even when I’m not personally attacking another poster?!
I think of trolls as those who post solely for the purpose of pissing people off. That’s not me. Others getting pissed off is simply a by-product of my posting style. A big difference IMO.

I don’t post this way in Cafe Society. This is the BBQ Pit. You know, where threads titled “You Fucking Bitch” are completely acceptable. I fail to see how saying “nits make lice” is any worse than a profanity-laced rant about an ex-boyfriend, for example.
