Hate to say it, but the Jackass in Wichita is right. _I_ picked this fight. Or, more accurately, I chose to highlight his jackassery. So no one can complain if he comes in here and acts like a jackass. We could all hope that the jackass would see, all bolded and and underlined, what a jackass he is. But we’ve all come to find out that he really doesn’t think he’s a jackass. He thinks he’s just the tail end of a jackass and is proud of it.

If anyone is a jackass, it should be you, Biggirl. You had every chance to ignore Clint but instead you chose to berate him. You and Guinastasia are nothing more than intellectual bullies. You can’t just accept that someone has their own personal views and opinions about them- you have to stomp all over them just to masturbate your own egos.

**Incubus** , you don’t make a lick of sense. You think people should be able to post anything they want. Well, I felt like posting that Clint is a jackass. Hey, letting off my anger and shit-- isn’t that what you advocate?
You can voice your opinion that stupid opinions should go unchallenged. I get to say that your opinion is stupid. You can go on spouting your stupid opinion and can keep spouting mine.

Clint, as well as I, respond to personal attacks made against us specifically. You attacked him after he made a general statement. A general statement isn’t as inflammatory as a statement made toward a specific individual. You are entitled to say what you want in response to what I say. And I am entitled to reply. And this thread will swell and swell until I get the satisfaction of having the biggest pit thread on the 'dope 😃

Alas, both **Clint** and **Incubus** have fallen prey to the mistaken (yet common) belief that loudly proclaiming shameful viewpoints is somehow a badge of raw individualism.
**Clint** , you’ve already been warned by **Lynn**. How much more obviously do you need it spelled out? Here, let’s do the math; we’ll pretend it’s a sort of word problem: You are being a jerk. You say jerkish things in a jerkish way. 1+1+1= jerk. And jerk = banned.
But you’re proud of this, right? You think you’re a real free-wheelin’ free spirit, shouting out your homegrown wisdom, proud to stand up and be counted when the Ignorant Racist Fucker Census comes around with their clipboards and white sheets. ‘Cause you don’t need none of that there book-learnin’ to be the best asshole you can be, right? And us “Berkley sophomores” should jes’ hush up our pretty mouths when you start in with your horrifying bumpersticker rhetoric, right?
Doubtless there is a massive rant brewing inside you, replete with profanity and racist epithets and a tenuous grasp on world history. It’ll eventually turn up on some god-forsaken Usenet board (no offense, **Fenris** ) and then every computer-literate shithead in the world will know of your struggle with The Man on the SDMB. A general statement isn’t as inflammatory as a statement made towards a specific individual? Let’s test that, shall we?
Which is the more offensive statement?
A) **Incubus** is a deeply, deeply stupid person.
B) All the Jews should be rounded up and put into camps.
Seems to me that, if I were to post the latter seriously, I would offend pretty much every single Jew who read it, and probably most of the non-Jews. On the other hand, if I posted the first part in seriousness, I might offend you, personally, but most other people wouldn’t be offended. Judging by this and your other two current pit threads, I’d say most people would even agree with me.
