Late add: Should’ve read Dole’s wiki past the intro. He’s backing Trump after his endorsements for first Jeb! then Rubio proved fruitless. Wow. Color me amazed. Or perhaps he’s lost more marbles than wiki is letting on. ---

Dole is the only GOP nominee for president who is backing Trump. There is a PBS show called _To the Contrary_ that has a political panel discussion format (along with filmed reported pieces) featuring an entirely female panel. It started in the early '90s and still has the same host; I started watching regularly in the late '90s until about seven or eight years ago when I stopped paying for cable or satellite. Sometimes people go over their limits and some $ has to be refunded, sometimes the money is from unwanted sources, and, I’m sure, some come from requests. ---

The media is going nuts over Trump refusing to endorse the election results. Who gives a fuck what Trump says post election? Isn’t conceding to the winner a courtesy? Basic decorum and etiquette? The results aren’t dependant on the loser actually conceding, are they? I’m assuming a big victory for Hillary. If we have another close election like Bush/Gore then what Trump says matters. He could force recounts in close states. Challenge voter roles. The press will need to use their right of discretion after the election. Every word that pours from the loser’s mouth isn’t newsworthy forever. Give Trump a couple weeks to whine and cry. Let him have his say. Then ignore him. The press decides every day which stories are worth covering. The National press has no obligation to cover Trump. Let the tabloids get in the mud with him. Trump can cry on twitter. ---

Accepting the results of an election is the fundamental civic duty of a citizen in a democratic society based on the rule of law. It’s what separate real countries from bullshit ones, and for a Presidential candidate to refuse to accept that is equal to him saying he doesn’t give a shit if Japan invades and occupies Hawaii. If you don’t like the country, why the hell are you running for President? 2. When he loses, there will still be 55 million people who voted for him, and “this election was rigged!” could cause serious violence.
