The big loser in this election is the Libertarian Party. If they had actually nominated somebody decent, they might have been in this thing. And also wouldn’t be terribly shocked if 1 year from now this election turned out to have really been a Pence or Kaine election. I could see either Trump or Clinton gone from the White House. ---

With the Bundy acquittals, this has been a[what-the-fuck](http://www.cbsnews.com/news/fbi-is-taking-investigative-steps-to-review-more-clinton-emails/) week. \*CBS News confirmed Friday that the new emails were discovered during the investigation into the sexting scandal of Anthony Weiner, the husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, after the agency seized electronic devices belonging to the couple. Sources would not disclose or characterize the number of additional emails discovered. Further, the emails in question are not from the WikiLeaks release of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s personal emails.\* ---

It’s been reported that the recovered emails were not originally withheld by Clinton nor were they sent from her account. I think, had this story broken a few days before the election, it would have had the potential to do damage. As it is, I think the pieces will fall back to earth in time for most people to see it for the damp squib it is. ---

It occurs to me that if the Clinton people were the least bit worried about what might be in these emails, they wouldn’t be screaming for Comey to show us what he’s got. I think they know it’s nothing, and they want to get this new “scandal” over with. ---
