People are calling him a coward in reaction to his son’s statements about how Hillary ran from rain while his heroic father went right back on stage after an attempt on his life (which was no such thing). Claiming bravery in the face of something that never even happened is worse than mere cowardice. ---

It’s chilling to see Trump standing there frozen, shading his eyes with his hand. He would have made a great target if that guy had a gun instead of a sign. The Secret Service was a few seconds late in getting to Trump. I hope they’d react more decisively with the President in a similar situation. They can only do so much. I recall in the two attempts on Ford that it was pure luck he survived. A Vietnam Vet knocked the gun away in one case. The gun jammed in the other. Ford was reaching out to shake her hand. ---
