In 1992 and 1996 Iowa was easily carried by Clinton. In 1988 Iowa went for Dukakis, one of only ten states that did. So actually, what’s the surprise? If anything it would be quite an upset if Trump carried Iowa. ---

Not only that, but both Alaska and Georgia are up over a 30% probability of a Clinton win in both polls-only and now-case. I don’t think she’ll actually take either one, but I wouldn’t have imagined Arizona would be in play, let alone even light blue, either. ---

That poll is the last one currently listed on RCP’s Utah page. Both pollsters rate as C+ on 538, fyi. ---

Arizona is turning blue. So is Iowa. Very light blue, but blue nonetheless. Arizona = 11 EV. Iowa = 6 EV. That’s a potential loss of 17 EV to a Trump campaign already in imminent danger of losing Ohio, Florida and North Carolina. (62 EV) Trump may not only lose this, but he may lose it in such a way that he’s forever branded a “Loser,” and that would destroy any egomaniac. ---
