# Clipping Coupons:  Do You? How Much Do You Save?

I don’t get coupons in the mail from any of the stores I have cards for, but I do get them at the checkout.\* They’re usually not for house brands, but are related to items I either purchased that trip or regularly purchase. And sometimes I get coupons for money off my next shopping trip to that store, usually because of a particular purchase (like $3 off because I bought X containers of Crystal Lite). This weekend I also got advance notice that Friskies is sponsoring one of these for two weeks starting Friday. My three cats will be happy that I can stock up on their canned food of choice.

\*A friend who works at a grocery store told me that these are called Catalinas, after the machine that dispenses them. This has been your useless coupon trivia for the week.

I still call 'em Catalina coupons even though they’re now coming out of an Epson printer.
