I’ve often said I’d like to have servants for two reasons, one being to have them serve of course and the other so that I could raise my hand and say “Leave us” when I wanted to speak to someone in private. You could do a similar composite of “Leave us!” scenes. ---

I will say that barking “Silence” _ala_ the movies is extremely effective, having used it a number of times in my parenting life. ---

“Finish him” has to be high on the list too. I once read somewhere, though, that the single most common line in movies is “Let’s get out of here” (a convenient way to end a scene, I suppose). ---

I like this kind of stuff. Futurama once spoofed this trope by having a group of robot villains who yelled “Silence!” almost every time they spoke- even when they were talking to each other. ---

“Silence” is why I like watching the French Open. I snicker every time I hear the French official admonishing the crowd, “Silence! Silence s’il vous plait! … Merci.” ---
