During the Middle Ages, there was actually a search for the one physical remnant of Christ’s person that was reasonably assumed to exist: His circumcised foreskin! A search turned up quite a few of them, and Pope Innocent III declined to attempt to authenticate any of them.

As a source material for the Holy DNA, one of these dubious relics would be your best bet.
