If any asshole-at-the-door ever made a threatening move toward my cats, I’m not sure what I’d do but it wouldn’t be pretty. And I’m normally a big chicken. But you do NOT hurt my cats, or threaten them. I once read an article about the people who do these magazine scams–I wish I could find it again, because it was very interesting. All about how the places that hire these kids bus them around, provide them with the barest minimum food and shelter, and hold them to ridiculous quotas…it really sounds like it sucks for the kids, but it _is_ a scam. You’re not sending anybody to nursing school or scout camp or whatever. Don’t fall for it. ETA: Oh, and reporting him wouldn’t do any good. They encourage their “salespeople” to be as persistent and obnoxious as it takes to get the sale. ---

It’s probably pretty hard to maintain your composure when you’re sleeping on the floor and getting the shit beat out of you for missing your quota. ---

He didn’t connect with my dogs, just a half-hearted swipe with his sneaker but if he had, _I_ would likely be sitting in a jail cell at this moment.
