**sugaree** / **Hamelet** ( **Hamee**?): Well, that’s one. 🙂 **Tuscalan** , I’ll try to sum up. **Chris** seems to be pissed because **UB** had a chance to close a thread but decided to defer to **Coldie** , who didn’t really need to close the thread just because the OP asked. Others chimed in saying that **Chris** could have just started a different thread if he really wanted to discuss stereotypes instead of this one bashing **Coldie** and **UB**. Then I tried to clear up a couple things: the reasoning behind why some threads don’t get closed even if the OP asks and **Chris** ’s misconception about (not) starting a thread on stereotypes. ---

So, **Jeff Olsen** , if I understand you correctly, this is it: - **Chris** was pissed because **Coldie** did what **UB** didn’t do, - others were pissed because **Chris** did what he shouldn’t do and didn’t do what he should have done, - finally you cleared up by explaining that while **UB** didn’t do what the OP wanted him to do, **Coldie** could still do that, and **Chris** didn’t understand that **Coldie** could do what **UB** didn’t do despite that the OP did want him to do that.
