The real Thorstein Veblen was male–eccentric to the point of batshit crazy, besides being a minor genius–but definitely not even a crossdresser. It’s a completely reasonable assumption. If Veblen didn’t happen to be dead at the moment, he’d doubtlessly be horrified to be pictured as that sword-bearing Amazon with the fur codpiece straddling **Giraffe’s** tongue. If I were a finer person I wouldn’t be amused by that either. Oh well. ---
