We produce more oil than ever and pay less money to people like the Saudis for theirs. Sure, there’s pain. Mining works that way, no matter what it is for. People moved in, mined all the silver out of the ground, and those brilliant silver cities with their own opera houses and luxury businesses dried up and blew away. The Iron Range in northern Minnesota is a shell of it’s former capacity (like when it was producing over 50% of world production of Iron _in the middle of WWII_). Coal’s time has come and gone. Those communities will dry up just like any other mining town of old. Same with pretty much any other industry. The Steel industry went tits up in the 70’s and early 80’s. I was hoping somebody was going to come in here and actually point out some disasters. Where are they? I’m not being snarky I’m just curious. It would really be interesting to know what the hell the Panic is about. I didn’t noticed any disasters that happened that could be attributed to him these last eight years but I’ve been known to miss or not understand things. ---

These threads while fun are pointless. A **Clothy** is an odd thing; it just says these things. It doesn’t engage in debate and doesn’t defend its delusions any more than a song called “It’s a Snowy Christmas” will change it’s lyrics because it’s mid-July and the only snow is in your freezer. ---
