A commutation, along with some rigorous parole restrictions wouldnt be a bad idea.

She’s not a violent prisoner, and has been given a taste of life behind bars. If they let her out now, they won’t be liable for her inevitable health care.

Commutation is way different than a Pardon. Commutation means that the crime occurred and they were guilty and now they spend time on parole.

There has been talk of Polis running for the D nomination for POTUS at some point in the future. If he caves on this and releases Peters, I for one will never vote for him or support him in any way.

I wouldn’t vote for him in a primary.

I would vote for him in a general election if he was running as the Democratic candidate against a Republican.

I’d rather have a spineless Democrat than a Republican in the White House.

Trump has seriously suggested he can run for president again.

Even if that doesn’t happen Trump will loom very large as candidates work to be the next Trump.

In short, we are very much stuck with Trump’s legacy (if we are lucky it will only be his legacy).
