IF the coach is guilty, I’m all for the Pillory, but something about the linked stories I’ve read so far doesn’t quite convince me.
It’s not that complex of a story for an 8yo who’s ashamed or scared of doing something mean to make up.

Coach Mark Downs was sentenced today to one to six years in prison for corruption of minors and criminal solicitation of simple assualt.

Other than it was his own coach and his own teammate and it was T ball ao there was no pitcher. See, practically identical! Just routine baseball strategy, really.

A news article I read about this yesterday quoted Downs as saying, “I didn’t do nothing.” And his lawyers have said he looks forward to the chance to appeal his conviction.
