I thought cockblocking went both ways. I couldn’t talk to a guy this weekend because of another girl getting in the way. **Happy Scrappy Hero Pup** says that unless I’ve had some interesting changes made to me, I can’t be cockblocked. So, I put it to you oh wise Dopers, what is it called when a \*girl \*gets, er, blocked? ---

If I understand what the word means (and it’s possible I don’t) a girl can BE a CB but not GET CB’d (sort of like a tease?) therefore there is NO male equivalent, because men don’t tease. If they flirt physically to that intensity, they fully intend to follow thru **IMHO** I could be wrong, tho ---

Cockblocking is not cock_teasing_, it is the practice of one guy (or a woman, for that matter) obstructing a guy from being able to talk to or hit on a woman he is interested in. For instance, if guy A is talking to woman B in a club but Guy C suddenly inserts himself and whisks woman B away to the dance floor, guy A has successfully been cockblocked by Guy C. As to the OP, may I suggest the term “boxing out” as a female equivalent? ---

One that stands out in my mind is a guy I knew once who would flirt outrageously (and quite physically) with everyone in our little group, because he knew we were all had the hots for him. Knowing we couldn’t say anything about his not putting out because he was gay. (And the do the same thing to his boyfriend and not put out because “it would hurt the girl’s feelings” if he ignored us for that long 😃 ). I’ve also encounter guys who would go pretty damn far before they decide they don’t want to “cheat” on their girlfriend. And didn’t mind going pretty damn far because they the have a girlfriend to go home and fuck. ---

I don’t think men get as jealous as women about it so there is no term. If there are two women and you devote all your attention to one the other could get offended or jealous. I don’t know if men are the same, at least not to the degree that women are because how we relate to the opposite sex is different. It is alot more rare for a strange woman to devote alot of attention to a strange guy but it is common for the opposite to happen. A male cockblock however would be a guy who is jealous that his male friend gets all the attention so he tries to sabotage it. That doesn’t sound like what happened with you. What happened with you was something else. ---

“Cunt punt” was my first thought; I see the similar “cunt bunt” has already been posted. Bait and snatch? Clit and run? Gash interference? (OK that one’s gross) Unnecessary muffness? There’s something to be made of “labial fold,” something like “She moved in on him and I totally had to labial fold” but it needs work. This is officially the most time I’ve spent thinking about vaginas in the last three decades. ---

Cripes, I don’t know. I had a best friend for nine years, she had a crush on one of my boyfriends’ best friends, when he didn’t react the way she had hoped he would to her advances, she started talking trash about him, my boyfriend overheard, didn’t like it, told his best friend, his best friend called her up and told her to quit talking trash about him, she called me and said it was my fault for going out with my boyfriend and that I somehow made _him_ tell his best friend what she was saying about him _deep breath_ - aaaand - then she called me a “cock blocker”, which made me crack up, then she hung up the phone and hasn’t spoken to me since.
