# CoD Black Ops—Single player modding?

Okay, this is _close_ to the right place to posting this question (and my best bet to not getting shouted down), so I’ll ask…
I’ve been out of the FPS mod creating scene since about, oh, 1998. So I’m not up to speed on a _tiny_ number of technical issues. One of them is modding for the PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops.
That is, is it possible to modify the weapons loadout for the single player levels? _Just_ changing the default weapons carried by the player and enemies to _other_ weapons already included in the game. I don’t even know if it’s possible at all, let alone what utilities I’d need or what files to edit.
Yeah, the anachronisms bugged me _that_ much. So, can anyone fill me in, before I waste too much more time messing with it?
