# coding commands sticky

Hey gang, (by that, I suppose I mean Mods/Admins)

Would it be possible to post a sticky here that lists the coding commands? Please? Pretty please with a 🙂 on top? I get most, but sometimes, my brain just throws a gear and I can’t quite remember what i… Shiney!

So, seriously, would it be possible to have a list of commands (font changes, etc.) permanently on the ATMB? I’ll even start:

General, html style, square brackets, “/” to turn off  
\*\*\*\* = bold\*\*  
\*\* = italics\*  
= underline  
[size=1] = smallest font ("/size" returns to normal font)  
[size=9] = largest font

…

that’s about all I’ve got. I can never remember, e.g. strike-through

Only if **Dexter** promises to remove 5 of the stickies already on this board.

Don’t need **another** sticky. IMO.

Fair enough. It could easily be inserted into the technical faq.

I don’t see any highly visible links to this anywhere, but [it is here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/misc.php?do=bbcode). I’d suggest that a “Formatting” menu would be much more useful than defunct “member list” and “calendar” items, but that’s just me.

There’s a widget on the bottom for “posting rules”
