Well, when I stopped drinking coffee during my pregnancy my co-workers started dropping hints that “you know all the studies were about people who had 5 cups a day, right?” There was a collective sigh of relief when I went back to my morning latte in the third trimester. I don’t mind being without coffee- others, however (including my husband) feel that I require it in order to function like a human being before midday. ---

Exactly. How do we go about getting a concurrent ban on artificial coffee flavourings? I’m thinking heads-on-pikes-as-an-example-to-others-level punishments should be the most appropriate and measured response to anyone looking to circumvent such a just and wise law. ---

Outside the edit window, but I’ll also suggest that we bill the family for hosing out the iron maiden used in the execution - dare I say speciestic cleansing? - of the filthy, filthy, fake-coffee-flavouristas. ---

I’ve been off the juice for over a decade now due to my GERD, so I do a mug of decaf every morning during the week and often forget all about it on weekends. So I guess I’d just shrug. But then I’d buy a gun to keep me safe from all the under-caffeinated zombies out there. On the upside, it would save me from having to sit in meetings all the time next to people with coffee breath. ---

I don’t think that I would be joining the Coffee Militia, but I would be getting contraband shipments fairly frequently. ---
