On the freeway today I saw a guy driving a Mazda Miata with the top down. He was wearing a tuque, but I thought ‘It seems a little cool out to be driving with the top down.’… … as I passed him on my motorcycle. ---

Johnny, Johnny, Johnny It was not raining today in Southern California why would the driver of a convertible have the top up? 😕 You do realize that if you try that stunt with your MGB I will do this. :dubious: Last week I was in Seattle driving a C70 with the top down, the temp was 25F. ---

In SoCal I see people bundling up when the temperature drops to 65. 😉 Anyway there I was, quite comfortable in a 70+ mph wind, windering if the guy in a convertible was chilly. Of course he was out of the wind and possibly had his heater on. :smack: Who else observed something, had a thought about it, and then though ‘Wait. That’s silly.’? ---

Why is that a cognitive disconnection? Seems more like a momentary feeling of camaraderie with a fellow open-air enthusiast. You just happened to be in different types of vehicles for the purpose. ---

Back East, I’ve seen people with the top down in really frigid weather. (Of course, they don’t have all that much weather that isn’t frigid). ---
