The “balls” references are a play on one of Colbert’s standard schticks while “in character” (self-flattery about his ballsiness). Nobody is suggesting that he’s going to wake up in Gitmo one morning (though he would be prudent to double-check that he can prove every income tax deduction he’s ever claimed). ---

Naw, it was a rather ephemeral nitpick (the best kind!). I think that wiki has the definition wrong, at least, I’ve always understood the verb “tea bagging” to refer to the act of a person tonguing someone’s balls. Much like “blowing” or “going down on”. And I think that’s probably all I’m gonna say about that one 😃 ---

Stephen Colbert… he’s the guy who does the voice of Phil Ken Sebben in _Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law_, and was that teacher in _Strangers With Candy_, right? I’m not familiar with any of his other work (it not getting broadcast in these parts unless you have Pay TV), so would someone like to give me the edited highlights of what _The Colbert Report_ is actually about? ---

Sorry, my bad. I thought it was Jon Stewart who started this obsession with Colbert’s balls. Apparently, it was Colbert himself who hyped his own balls and all of you were glad to lick and polish them. It’s _supposed_ to sound ridiculous and pompous. That’s the whole point. ---
