My turn to bump with a second vote for wondering what’s up with Friday night. Other than the person I’m rooming with, I have exactly one hotel person’s cell #/last name. I know I’m going to get made fun of for this… but what the hell does DTF stand for? **Nym** , I can guarantee I will be in the middle of wherever the party is going on when you arrive. Just call me (I think I’m the person you’re referring to?) and I will direct you. That’s NOT saying I’m going to figure out where we’re all going or anything, though. ---

::slaps forehead:: I knew I would feel stupid. It just looked like an airport code to me. I’m sure at least half of the group will have cell phones. It’s probably not a bad idea to get some of those numbers circulated, especially the people that have their phones attached to their hip and actually HEAR them ringing (yeah, yeah, I’m not used to having one). I would highly doubt they have room numbers assigned at this point. The person at the front desk does NOT sound on top of things! ---

I know that some of the people coming to this are under 21, but I’m curious how many of those under 21ers will be with us on Friday night as well as Saturday night. Are **Monster, SPOOFE, Mercutio** , etc. coming for both nights or just the “big event” on Saturday night? I’m asking because [Alpine Village](http://www.alpinevillage.net/) in Torrance (which is only about 5 miles up the road from the motel) is having an [Oktoberfest](http://www.geocities.com/shayna61/AlpineVillage-Oktoberfest.html), and they’ll take reservations for parties of up to 3,000 people, so 50-60 certainly won’t be an issue at all. The problem is, they’ll allow minors in the restaurant, but the lady I spoke to said they’re pretty strict about not allowing anyone under 21 into the beer garden, and we certainly don’t want to exclude the younger people from the party. ---

What kind of part would this be if I wasn’t there most of the time? So many dopers, I have to spend as much time with them as possible. Luckily, I live so close. ---

A few things… 1. **Merc** , if you keep whining like a bitch I’m going to slap you like one. 2. **psy** and I will have a cellphone with us. E-Mail me or ask in chat for the #. If people want, they can send me their cell #'s and I can compile a directory and have it available for people attending DTF, and to sell to telemarketers. 😃 3. Something that has worked well at conventions/ that I’ve been to has been to ask to set up a bulletin board in the lobby where you can leave your room number if you want. I’ll give the hotel a call and see if they wouldn’t mind this. 4. The party is on like Donkey Kong one way or another on Friday. That’s all I have to say about that. ---
