Not much of a birdwatcher either, but I really enjoyed Colibri’s posts. Plus, as a random fact, I have an uncle who’s an ornithologist and did some work in South America (Columbia, vice Panama). Sad news. ---

I am saddened - Colibri and TubaDiva were among the first people on list I really had any [mod] interaction with, and both were posters worth reading no matter what they were discussing. ---

I first started surfing the Dope in the late 90s. Colibri was a fixture. This is shocking, jarring, and oh so sad. As my Jewish friends might say, may his memory be a blessing! ---
