Colin McRae is reported to have dies today in a helicopter accident along with his 5-year-old son. [Link](http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/more_sport/article2461339.ece) Possibly one of the greatest rally drivers of all time; it’s always a tragedy when young people lose their lives. My heart goes out to his wife and daughter. RIP ---

I’m heartbroken. I’ve watched Rally since I was a kid, and Colin inspired the AWD Scooby in the driveway. But God he had a fun life, didn’t he? (McRae rolls the WRX just before the finish line, but lands on 4 wheels, and drives through the gate to finish 2nd at the 2006 XGames.) ---

What a bummer! One of my favorite drivers. And a kid the same age as mine. ☹ Almost takes the shine off Notre Dame getting skunked for a third week in a row. I stand by my assertion that celebritys and helicopters do not play well together. ---

Wow. I was just looking the other day to see if Colin Mcrae’s Rally came out on Gamecube. It’s been hard to follow WRC since Speed stopped carrying it, but I still consider myself a fan. What a shocker. Didn’t Colin Mcrae’s Dirt just come out for PS3? ---

Very sad. I remember being glued to the TV during the 1995 British Rally with the championship to be decided between him and Carlos Sainz and cheering when he crossed the line on the last stage with a faster time. ---
