Bro I am a nobody. So don’t focus your energy on me. BTW for the nth time, I am not religious (so not a Hindu). If you want to criticize India or Hinduism, I will encourage you to do so and I will want to participate too (on real issues).

But to compare Islam with Hinduism or with any other religion is totally ridiculous. Islam = Evil, worldwide. As Muslims, you should accept this fact imho.

And for the nth time, I am not against Muslims. Muslims are humans too and deserve as much love and respect as any other people. Its the Islam that is a cancer for the world. We have to weaken Islam.

That makes as much sense as saying “I don’t hate them Jews-it’s their _religion_ I hate!” How the hell can you possibly love and respect them as Muslims, and yet want to destroy the religion that defines them?

It’s like you’ve got those goalposts mounted on the back of a large semi, careening randomly all over the field(and occasionally into the stands).

Most non-Muslims of this world are already doing it (as it should be) - treating Muslims as equals as friends, colleagues etc, hating Islam and hoping that effect of Islam on overall population reduces drastically.

So it’s like loving homosexuals, but hating their “lifestyle”?

Does not make sense. Following two things are fact -

1. Its not Muslims’ mistake that they are born in Islam. So they deserve as much love and respect as any other people.

2. Islam is cancer for the world. You hope its effects on Muslims weakens as a whole.

No, most non-Muslism of this world are treating Muslims as equals, as friends, colleagues, etc, hating _extremism_ and hoping that the effect of _extremism_ on the overall population reduces drastically. “Islam” is not defined only by its lunatic fringe.

My Beloved went through cancer-please try to find another ill-fitting euphemism.
And some of us, through experience, recognize the weakness of your “love the sinner, hate the sin” argument.

That’s sugarcoating imo. Extremism will be reduced as a whole when you become less Islamic as a society.

Whether a Muslim is ‘lunatic fringe’ is not a binary thing, like a yes or no answer. There are varying degrees of lunacy and primitiveness.

And after you get rid of Islam, what religion, sect or people are next on your list?

That’s clearly nonsense, because religious extremism isn’t remotely limited to Islam.

For your edification, here’s a nifty [link](http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/fact?s=t) that might provide you with some illumination.

> [@](#):
>
> 1. Its not Muslims’ mistake that they are born in Islam. So they deserve as much love and respect as any other people.

Well, nobody’s actually born into a religion. One has to be educated into it, usually beginning with some sort of initiation ceremony. Of course, the person or persons raising someone will usually have a lot to do with what religion that someone adopts.

> [@](#):
>
> 1. Islam is cancer for the world. You hope its effects on Muslims weakens as a whole.

I’d think that the incredible ignorance and bigotry you’re displaying with this inane comment is the actual cancer, not Islam.

Funny (not), my own homeland has become less extremist at the same time as the amount of Muslim people in it has risen.

Any causality there has been on the direction “less extremist, less xenophobic” ----\> “more people from all origins, colors and religions moving in”, but hey, feel free to keep conflating apples and knives.

To a large degree, those people who don’t hear the outpouring of condemnation by Islam spokespeople of the monstrous evil that is Daesh are those people who don’t WANT to hear those condemnations because it doesn’t fit their idea of what is happening. Their minds were made up and closed around the time they heard their Daddy cursing people of different religions and races. They know, already, all they ever will need to know and have no desire to be shown the truth.

You mean USA? Muslim population percentage is still less in USA. I think that’s the primary reason.

Its manageable if the population percentage is less. If the population percentage rises, the nation needs to be very careful if they are religious. A religious Buddhist population is not expected to cause damage for ex. , but you would not want to live in a place where there’s large religious Islamic population.

Wrong on all counts. You might want to ask the Muslims in Myanmar whether “a religious Buddhist population” is likely to commit extremist violence. And Muslim-majority countries such as Turkey and Indonesia are not extremist by and large (although extremist minorities exist everywhere), so the problem clearly isn’t Islam per se.

Turkey is much less extremist. Good, wish them the best.

Turkey is much less religious than say a Pakistan or an Afghanistan. Make Pak/Afghanistan less religious, they will be less extremist.
