Texas Tech’s defense impressed me last night during their win over Northwestern State, particularly the three blocked passes. Someone’s been teaching them some new tricks. NWS only managed 84 yards total over 49 offensive plays, which is something Tech needs to keep up this year. Second-half fatigue has really killed us in the past.

I’m pretty sure that A&M joining the SEC made College Station an enclave of Mississippi or Arkansas (maybe both who knows or cares), rather than the whole of Texas becoming SEC country. Paying for a bunch of billboards does not make it so. The UN is still working out the details.

Just letting y’all know that week 1 isn’t over yet.

It looked like Va. Tech was going to run all over Ga. Tech the way that Louisville ran all over UK, so I turned away. But when I turned back about an hour later, Ga. Tech was up by 3. Then VT scored a long TD pass, (despite a blatant pass interference).

We have a game, people.
