You can add Texas A&M to the list of “outs”. Kevin Sumlin was fired today and it’s being reported that the deal is already set for Jimbo Fisher to take over the program. If it’s true\*, then we need to start the full court press and try to grab Frost. It’d be a very different situation here - all the advantages that UF had to offer, but not as much downside. \*And part of me hopes it is, I’m sick of hearing Jimbo as the candidate for every other fucking school - if he’s not happy here then fuck him, let Saban whip his ass EVERY year and see how long he lasts. Suck the money tit while you can Jimbo, you’ll never win a National Championship at TA&M. Oh, and please take fucking Trickett with you. Thankseversomuch. ---

I had never heard his name connected to the Sandusky stuff at all, so was very surprised that Tennessee fans were protesting. I’m near Columbus and never heard a peep from anyone about this when OSU hired him for D coordinator. Did the Tennessee AD not know about this? Is it a real concern? Will anyone accept a job offer from Tennessee now? ---

We are not that jaded after 19 seasons without a conference title or big bowl game. We Husker fans think our slump is temporary and the right coach will get us back to “normal”. ---

Tenn fans just used the Sandusky stuff because they knew that was easier than saying Schiano was a bad coach. They were bashing him before it even came out that he was at Penn State. ---

I’m trying to think which school that has a game this weekend would have a coach interested in leaving for FSU (especially given that many of the teams playing this weekend have a good chance of making the CFP with a win). Here’s some possibilities: UCF, although Scott Frost already linked to Nebraska Memphis, although Mike Norvell is reportedly negotiating an extension with Memphis and has also been tied to Arkansas Oh shit. FAU is playing Saturday, aren’t they? It’s going to be Lane Kiffin, isn’t it? I was hoping to see Tennessee grovelling at his feet to come back to Knoxville when no one else would take their job.
