It occured to me that, among American college sports, basketball is the one sport that everyone has. Are there any universities or colleges in the United States that have athletic programs, but no basketball team? At any level (NCAA Divison I, II, III, NAIA, NJCAA, etc.)? Of course, I am excluding institutions that don’t sponsor intercollegiate sports at all.

Miami (Fla) had no BB team from 71 to 85. Also a few teams dropped BB for a while because of NCAA problems, Tulane and San Francisco are 2 examples.
