# Colon Home Run!

Bartolo Colon, Mets pitcher, hit a 2-run shot against the Padres.  
Unbelievable. It was an incredible moment. I think everyone treats him respectfully and their jibes about his weight and slowness are good natured. I would like to believe everyone is genuinely thrilled at this accomplishment. Thoughts?

wow hell be brought up as a stat for the rest of his life…oh and hell never have to pay for a drink in the home teams town for as long as he lives …

but damn for the other guy … I mean the PITCHER gets a 2 run shot off of ya ? its time go go back to the minors or find a used car lot for sale with what ever paycheck ya have left …

I laughed when I read about the [Silver Slugger bonus in his contract](http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/mets/bartolo-colon-50k-bonus-mets-silver-slugger-article-1.2471433) but this is great for Colon. I love watching him play because he always looks like he’s having the best time out there. LGM
