Colored MARGARINE??

Okay, I couldn’t just let you all ignore this. That’s hilarious.

Must be, I saw purple ketchup the other day.

Or maybe that should be

What’s wrong with you people? We eat artificially colored food every day. I bet that Pepsi® is “naturally” a lot closer to clear than brown before caramel color is added. Everywhere I look, it’s “yellow 5”, “red 40”, “blue 2” (when I read ingredient listings I feel like I’m playing Twister Bingo). Sprinkles aren’t rainbow colored when they’re on the jimmy tree; that’s artificial, baby. If you don’t have a problem drinking soda or eating cheetos, it doesn’t make sense to me to be up in a tissy about green ketchup and pink margarine.

[sub]I’d rather that they didn’t sell funny colored condiments, only because then it’s not as cool when I make them at home for friends[/sub]

Purple ketchup is the best! Although technically it’s not “ketchup” because under federal regs “Ketchup” is red. So the purple and green are “condiments made with real Heinz tomato ketchup.” The bottles clog up upon first usage, though, so there’s a drawback.

It also (the ketchup) stains one’s tongue. And fingers, if they come in contact.
