They can hold fast to an idea and defend it vigorously without fear of looking like they’re mafia because they know they’re not. The two things I backed off on were indefensible, to the point that any defense of it would have gained me more votes than I have now. So I backed off on those. But look at Peeker. My voting him is obviously controversial. Am I backing off? No. Because I am convinced he’s scum. ---

No. Because I am convinced he’s scum. hee hee. will you at least admit that you started out by saying that scum get no additional information from various Night kill possibilities or lack thereof and now you are saying that they get some, just not as much as might otherwise be possible? or is this another indefensible point? see the other metagame thing i have observed is that scum like to go silent with just a little heat but love to start swinging at every thing when they are in the cat bird seat. especially Day one in a niller game with a godfather. ---

Yeah, I haven’t been posting enough, I know. I’m busy and that’s how it is. I’ve been following along, but I just don’t have a lot to say. It’s nearly all just random finger pointing on Day One. Most likely, no one who is scum is playing in any clearly different way than they would be if they were vanilla. Anyway, Tom, you did read my response to peeker regarding my question about role blockers. I was just asking because of the Wild West game. Anyway, I guess you are voting to lynch me as a somewhat lurker, which is…whatever. I admit I haven’t been the “active poster” I usually am in games. At least you have a reason, which I can live with. I was ready to vote for amrussell yesterday(I think), but I really believe his explanation. This left me with little to go for. In the end, I have to go with what I think is the closest to a slip or tell. I think peeker, whom I rarely agree with, is quite right that ped is at best, trying to back out of his earlier statement about the scum information. I’m hoping we are right about this one. I’ve never had or seen success on a Day One lynch. **vote pedescribe** By the way, I swear I’ve seen some of you call me “she”. I’m a dude…100%. 🙂 ---

Ugh, I hate Day 1! I’ve been following along and I’ve made posts when I have something to say. I’m not the kind of player who is going to post a hundred times a day. I never have been. When I think that someone is scummy I make a vote. I’m also not going to throw out a dozen votes every day to see what shakes loose. I’m not that kind of player either. ---

I do think, though, that sometimes scum can hide behind an excuse of “I was just confused by what he was saying”. Not that I necessarily think that is the case with Freudian, but with peeker you always have to keep it as a possibility. ---
