# Columbus Day v Indigenous People's Day v Leif Erikson Day

I’m specifically talking about people looking at the history of the U.S. and saying, “we aren’t those colonists that did horrible things to the Native Americans, _that wasn’t us_”. I wouldn’t describe that as _white identity holding a place of supremacy_, but if that is what you would call it, then yes, I’ll own it.

You really had to twist those words out of me, and in _any_ other place I would assume you are mocking me rather than having an honest debate.
