But not for another week or so, okay? Yes, consummation is on hand, my friends. Our beloved President, dpr, is coming to Chicago! I know you’re all very, very excited, but not HALF as much as we are. All I wanted for Xmas was dpr, but I’m getting him for Easter instead. Oh, the pity. 😃 Anyway, come one, come all to meet my Ozzie boyfriend. Watch us giggle and coo and smooch and in general ignore you all. Watch us talk about the future. Place bets to see how long it will be before we start another thread about a poster moving across the world for love. Watch us live on bread and water 'cause DAMN those plane tix are expensive! Buy us dinner!!! I’m not giving the exact date of when he gets here, since I don’t want y’all calling my cell phone all day and night. 😃 However, I’d say by…the 20th we’ll be willing to receive visitors. Maybe. I DEFINITELY wouldn’t try before then, though. Phones are off, door is locked. Come back some other time. Oh, gods. This is going to be good. ---

Can’t say I’ve ever had this happen before, but I wish I was going to be in Chicago. Sure you guys don’t want to come stay with me? No snow, nice weather. Thank you all for your kind words and emails of support. As I’m sure you can appreciate we’re both very excited and happy. I’m a ball of emotions here and - to be quite honest - a little unsure what to post here. Yes, I know, it’s not that often that I’m at a loss for words but at the moment I’m just too focused on getting to The Girl. The one who has my heart, and I’m not going to get it back: no, I’m ensuring she knows it’s hers. Forever. Hell, even the thought of the 24 hour flight doesn’t seem daunting. Not with her waiting at the other end. ---

Oh my. This is too freaky… I had a dream not too long ago that dpr was coming to visit Nym, but had to stop in California and stay with me for 4 days before he went to Chicago! Now I find out that his layover is in LA! I so, so want to make it out to LA to meet him, even if it is for only 2 hours. However, I’ve been told that the drive is about 9 hours from here (South Bay/San Jose). And I have to work Sunday 9-5. Add that to the fact that my sense of direction is abominable, and the airport is huge and scary and I’d probably have to go alone. ☹ Plus, I’m afraid that my dream karma would make his flight be cancelled or something, and I sure don’t want to incur the Wrath of Nymysys™ and make dpr get stuck in California for 4 days!! If something comes up and it looks possible for me to make it out there, I’ll email dpr or Shayna for details. ---
